Laughing Thoroughbreds

how many times
have I borne you
through the velvet night O
my thighs wrapped
tight O my thoroughbred

our small bed
vast space
where we birth
uncontrollable laughter O

my body
no longer woman
but silken flesh
on sinewy legs
galloping galloping
